A Valentine’s weekend concert

Santa Cruz CABuy tickets online:
Two shows of BEATLES music: a 3 PM Matinee, with a special $10 children under 12 price- this will feature 'Yellow Submarine" and other kids of all ages' favorites, and an 8pm evening show, the traditional WAE Valentine's weekend concert of lovely Beatles acoustic songs.
Both shows performed on (mostly) acoustic instruments. Material from the last 7 albums: Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt Pepper's, Magical Mystery Tour, The “White” Album, Let it Be, and Abbey Road. This represents a period where the Beatles no longer performed live in concert; their sophisticated recordings became their sole focus, and had so many overdubs, edits and complex vocal arrangements that four musicians simply couldn’t perform the songs with 1960’s technology. Doing just that, with at least eight fine musicians has been the mission of the WAE, since 2003.
The Kuumbwa Jazz Center, 320-2 Cedar St in Santa Cruz, is a world-famous intimate listening environment (200 capacity, state of the art sound, Yamaha Grand Piano) with wine, beer, coffee and food from the Jazz Café, and not a bad seat in the house. Their shows usually sell out, and general admission means first come, first served.
Show times Matinee 3pm- Evening show 8 pm.
