As we assumed that Covid had taken our band out of the game, when the pandemic years ticked by, and we had a few expensive cancellations, from venue staff illnesss, to musical personnel needs… we decided to quit while he were ahead (do a farewell tour), so we did a couple of gigs in 2023,
our wonderful "home Venues"- The Kuumbwa Jazz center, for Valentine's weekend shows, in February, and the
Rio Theatre , our first, and last concerts, 2003-2023, 20 years!
The biggest question, on so many longtime fan's mind was "are you really breaking up?"
The answer was we thought we were over, but somehow we were lucky enough that our fans turned up to all sold out shows. So, as working musicians who love what we do, we will dip our toes back in the pool, and do a few WAE concerts in 2024. The closest weekend to Valentine's day is February 16, and 17th. (The 14th is a Wednesday, a work night.)
Tickets will be up soon, we will create that at www.tix.com, and will have paper tickets at Streetlight Records in Santa Cruz on Pacific Ave.
Later in the Year, we will add our once traditional december weekend of fri.,12/29 and sat., 12/30 2024.
